If I understand you correctly, I would be for that. A camera, fake or not, is a security tool used for survaillance. If someone wants to try to take a) they are simply a thief or b) have any interest in not being survailed. In other words, our enemy. You devastating "to one or two of these guys, you find that Your camera will be left alone and you can replace the fake with the real. It's hard, but our enemies do not respond to polite requests.
