infrared wavelengths / rays?

Are there dangers of the harmful effects of infrared waves / rays? I have found mutiple sites and have not found nothing, so I'm hoping someone knows. is for a project I'm working in science and need the information for tomorrow (09 October) it would be a big favor if anyone can find a present!

Good thing about infrared is that you feel is a fire. So if it's too hot, and then walk away. A thing to be careful, however, is that when ever it is, not visible light, PROTECT YOUR EYES. Your eyes do not have heat receptors. That means, you do not feel anything when eyes are exposed to excessive non-visible rays. You can record when your Retna if the light is focused and you do not feel it. (Until it is too late, of course)
